TRAINING

The curriculum for your dog will vary based on the training form filled out.  Each dog will have their own special curriculum that each session will be based on. The sessions provided are one-on-one sessions with the trainer, Sam and your dog. 

• K9 Academy is OPEN 10 AM to 4 PM.
• K9 Academy is $70 per day. 
• K9 Academy is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday by appointment only. 
• Training sessions will vary from 20-30 minute intervals. Your dog will receive multiple sessions throughout the day.
• In between training sessions, training dogs will be put up to rest in between sessions. 
• Thursdays, if there are training dogs able to socialize, the training dogs will have the chance to do a “group time”. In “group time” training dogs that are able to socialize with other dogs will have the ability to be around and train alongside other dogs. 
• Tools that may be used in training: leash, slip lead, flat collar, prong collar, chain collar, clicker, place mat, e-collar. 
• Any training dog that adds on a bath with their training service, will have the dog bathed by Sam. Sam will work with the dog through the bathing and grooming process. The idea and goal of this is to neutralize dogs to the bathing/grooming process. 
• Owners will be kept up to date with their dogs training through different media (updates, photos, and videos).
• Owners will be sent home with different exercises (homework) that benefit their dog’s training goals.
• Any dog that has received training with Shickle K9 will receive 5% off training services at Paradise Pet Hotel & Day Spa.

HOW TO GET STARTED?

1. Ensure you are already a client with Paradise Pet Hotel & Day Spa. If you are not a pre-existing client, please visit our webpage & click on ‘Client Portal’. After you fill out the ‘Client Portal’, your pet will be in our system. Your dog must be up-to-date on Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, & Bordetella to receive training services.To send over vaccination records, you may upload the records to the client portal, email them, ask your vet to send them to Paradise Pet Hotel & Day Spa, or bring in a physical copy. 
2. Fill Out the Training Form online (linked below) or in-person. 
3. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday training services will be available by appointment. 
4. As long as your dog is a client in our system, up-to-date on vaccinations, and the training form has been filled out, your dog is eligible to receive training services by appointment.
